Biography

Tomas Jenicek is a PhD student at Visual Recognition Group at CTU in Prague, supervised by doc. Ondřej Chum. After obtaining his master’s degree in artificial intelligence in 2017, Tomas shifted his main focus towards computer vision.

His research topic is large scale image retrieval across visual domains; the most recent work is focused on retrieval across day and night images and on linking art through human poses. The latter work, presented at TMC, enabled to find inspiration among authors in large digitized collections and link visually dissimilar artworks. The current focus is on its application to the art history field.
