Riitta Mikkola is the vice president of Euroclio, European association of history educators. She has been in the board of Euroclio since 2015. At the moment she teaches history, social studies and Russian language in Karakallio School in Espoo. She has been involved with Finnish History Teachers’ association (HTA Finland) since 1998 in different trainings, working groups and representing the association. She has been the chairman of the board of HTA Finland 2006-2011 and since 2012 the chief editor of the Finnish HTA’s quarterly magazine Kleio. Riitta Mikkola has graduated from the University of Tampere as a historian and teacher of history and social studies. She has been teaching in both lower and upper secondary schools in since 1994.
