Panel: European perspectives on ICT and Cultural Heritage

In this panel, representatives from different units of the European Commission as well as major European initiatives will discuss about a European view on ICT and Cultural Heritage. The overarching idea is to discuss the current situation of research and innovation in the field of ICT and Cultural Heritage, elaborate the challenges faced by Europe and its citizens in this area and assess future perspectives for research and innovation, including e.g. sustainable cultural tourism and the legacy of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018. The session is split into 10 min impulse presentations by each of the panellists and a following 30 – 40 min. plenary discussion.
